Key Management


Glen Samsa, Chief Executive Officer

Glen has qualifications in Botany and Soil Science (B Sc Hons). Glen brings over 20 years of industry expertise. He has extensive knowledge and skills in forestry analysis and valuation, project development, technical management, and financial management and reporting. Glen has fulfilled a number of senior management positions with some of the region’s largest plantation managers, and leading forestry consultants. Glen has direct management experience in Australia, Cambodia and Laos, and has undertaken assignments for clients in Malaysia, Timor Leste, and Vietnam . Glen is a member of the Institute of Foresters of Australia, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.​

Nico Strydom, General Manager - Laos

Nico has qualifications in Wood Technology (B Tech) and Forestry (Dip For).  Nico has extensive experience operating in the emerging markets of Africa and South East Asia.  Nico spent his early career in forestry management in South Africa, and then migrated down the value chain becoming involved in managing sawmills, and distribution and procurement channels.  More recently Nico has spent time overseeing forestry development projects in Mozambique, Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Laos. 

Henk Pretorius, Resource Manager - Laos

Henk has over 15 years of experience in forestry planning, GIS & Mapping, and other geographical information management systems. Henk started his career working in harvesting management and later worked intensively with GIS, mapping and information management systems, and various planning processes related to commercial forestry companies and invasive plant control.  Recently Henk has focussed on forestry planning in Tanzanian
tropical forestry, and South African eucalyptus plantations.
